Florence: what to do

Florence is one endless source of beauty, Art and things to do. So many, actually, that it's impossible not finding ourselves baffled with so many choices. We recommend approaching such overwhelming city as locals do: one corner a time, whatever time it takes, and dedicating your stay in Florence to those places that, somehow, push an emotional button, coming back eventually for all things left.

However, not everybody will have the opportunity of flying frequently to La Bella Firenze, then we have prepared a list of unmissable activities:  when in Florence make reservations in advance to visit the Uffizi, the world greatest collection of Renaissance art. Visit the Duomo, admire Brunelleschi's groundbreaking cupola, and climb to the top if in good shape.

Visit the Accademia and marvel at Michelangelo's David. Cross the Ponte Vecchio to the Giardino di Boboli, a huge park on a hillside in the middle of Florence behind the Pitti Palace. Michelangelo's David, probably the most famous sculpture in the world, is in the Galleria dell'Accademia. The Galleria degli Uffizi holds the world's most important collection of Renaissance art.

Florence's most famous square is Piazza della Signoria. Enjoy the trattorias around Piazza Santo Spirito and Piazza Santa Croce. Enjoy one evening of music, theatre and great food in Teatro del Sale
